I am impressed! Sitting in my favorite library and reading the "Robert Capa" book. The book catched my attention because I fancy black and white photographs. But this book is more than I expected. They call him war photographer from the 30s-50s. While I am flipping the pages I realize that every single photograph is taken during a war. Not after, not before...during. He was standing, sitting or however, right next to a person who is just about to shoot someone. Being able to capture the moment and seing the beauty of a situation, while you are placed in a frightening location...that is a masterpiece to me!
After breathtaking photographs the book ends with a kind of happy ending. Picasso with his son, Matisse in his studio....lots of famous friends in a sunshiny mood, Capa captured with his camera.
Robert Capa died 1954 through a mine he stepped on to.
